Shirley I. Combs, 87, of Syracuse, passed away on Friday. She was a communicant and very involved at LaFayette Avenue United Methodist Church.
Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Eva and Sam Fielding; brother, Jack Fielding; daughter, Audrey C. Slama; husband, Arby J. Combs and Linda Newman's partner, Fritz Moran.
Shirley is survived by daughter, Linda Newman; son, Edward (Sue) Newman; son-in-law, Douglas Slama; 3 grandchildren, Jason, Christopher and Amy and 2 great-grandchildren, Cross and Cowan.
Services will be private.
