Shirley M. McFadden

Shirley M. McFadden, 88 of Syracuse, NY and formerly of Andrews, SC, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026. She was born in Andrews, SC on July 2, 1938 to the late Walter and Jannie Graham.

 She worked at Syracuse University for over 30 years. Shirley enjoyed watching basketball, especially the New York Knicks and Syracuse Basketball. She also loved fishing, picnics and spending time with her family and friends.

 She is survived by her children, Jenice McFadden, Kenneth (Alicia) McFadden, Caroline Sherman, Michael McFadden, Annette McFadden and Carlton (Maria) McFadden; grandchildren, Ramone, Latoya, Shamori, Ali, Kenny Jr., Precious, Rondell, Carlton Jr., Jiya, Markese, Tyrisha and Jasmon; many great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews; siblings, Thomas Graham, Ernest Graham, David Lee (Martha Ann) Graham, Richard (Jean) Graham and Lenard (Sylvia) Graham.

 Predeceased by her husband, Alvin J. McFadden; siblings, Walter (Gloria) Graham Jr. and Samuel (Mary) Graham; sister-in-law, Eve Graham.

 Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Saturday, September 5, 2026 from 10am-12pm.

 Funeral Services will follow at 12pm.
