Stephen R. Bartosek

Stephen R. Bartosek, born on November 6, 1951, in Syracuse, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, surrounded by his beloved family. He was a man whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, dedication, and quiet strength.

Stephen's lifelong passion was crafting and putting together models, a hobby that reflected his meticulous nature and creative spirit. This interest was more than just a pastime; it was an expression of his thoughtful character and patience.

He is lovingly remembered by his son, Joseph (Nancy) Bartosek, and his daughter, Jennifer Johnson. Stephen’s family extended beyond his children to include five cherished grandchildren: Joseph, Desiree, Dakota, Terrance, and Ashley, as well as a wonderful group of nine great-grandchildren who brought immeasurable joy to his later years. His affection for his family was profound and unwavering.

Stephen also shared his home and heart with his precious cats, Ralphie and Ella, who were devoted companions during his final years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys and Stephen Bartosek; his sister, Chris; and his brother, Jim. Their memories remain in the fabric of his story and in the hearts of those who loved him.

Stephen R. Bartosek’s life was marked by a steady devotion to family and an enduring love for the simple pleasures that brought him peace. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, remembered always with great respect and affection.
