Steven James Schmidt, 68 of Hastings, NY, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. He was born in Stillwater, MN on May 11, 1958 to the late James David and Joyce Schmidt.
Steven was an auto glass installer for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Tanner (Alaney) Schmidt, Jaysa Musgrove and Tania; grandchild, Elena Schmidt; former wife, Pamela Stevenson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Thursday, November 12, 2026 from 1-2pm.
