Eleanor "Sue" Simcuski

Eleanor "Sue" Simcuski, 79, born on July 8, 1946, in Syracuse, NY, passed away on September 27, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. Sue dedicated 36 years of her life to her career as a medical technician at Crouse Hospital.

Known for her fun personality, Sue had an inherent ability to spread joy and warmth to everyone she encountered. She cherished her relationships with friends and family and held a special place in her heart for her beloved four-legged companions, Maggie and Alex.

Outside of her professional commitments, Sue enjoyed a variety of hobbies and interests. She was an avid boater and fisherman. Additionally, her love for casinos was evident in the many trips she took to Las Vegas. When her family and friends would gather together, the number one request was for her famous macaroni salad and coleslaw. Sue took great pride and devoted her time to creating and maintaining beautiful landscaping that reflected her vibrant personality.

Sue is survived by her wife of 45 years, Marilyn Renne; her son, Thomas (Kristyn) Renne; and her nephew, Mark (Nathan) Hoffman. She was predeceased by her parents, Cornell and Eleanor Simcuski; her sisters, Sharon Hoffman and Sandra Simcuski; and her nephew, Mike Hoffman.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 3-5:30PM, followed by a memorial service at 5:30PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, North Syracuse. The community is invited to celebrate Sue's life and share memories that reflect the joy she brought to all those around her.

Memorial contributions may be made in Sue's memory to, Helping Hounds Dog Rescue and St Jude Children's Hospital.
