Sue M. Wickham, 79, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, surrounded by the love she spent her life giving so freely.
Sue had a gift for caring for others. Nothing brought her more joy than being with children - especially her grandchildren. She was a devoted caregiver to Jake Sabine, Amber Lee Reeves, Bryce Sabine, and Jonathan Isabell. She happily extended that same care to all her neighbors’ children, and lovingly babysat Michelle and Scott Kozlowski, and Nathan and Zachary MacNabb. Whether she was reading books, teaching them to bake, making crafts, playing kickball in the yard, or offering the best snuggles, Sue created a childhood full of comfort, creativity, and adventure for every child lucky enough to spend time with her.
Anyone who knew Sue remembers her easy laughter, her bright smile, and her steady zest for gardening and homemaking. She made every home she touched warmer, and every day she shared lighter.
Sue was married to the love of her life, Jack Wickham, and together they lovingly raised their two daughters, Jennifer Daily and Lisa Sears. As a family, they spent summers camping and sailing on Oneida Lake—memories that remain some of their most cherished.
She is survived by her husband Jack; her daughters Jennifer (JJ Daily) and Lisa; her grandchildren Jake, Amber Lee (Justin Reeves), Bryce (Carl Black), and Jonathan (Melissa Rule); and three great-grandchildren she was thrilled to meet and know—Avianna, Carl, and Silas. Sue also loved her siblings deeply. She missed her brother Bill immensely and held close the bond she shared with her brother Wayne, her sister Nancy, and her brother-in-law Hank. She leaves behind many other family members and friends who will forever feel the loss of her steady presence and generous heart.
