Susan McNitt

Susan McNitt, 79, of Williamstown, passed away peacefully at home on November 30, 2025. Susan was born in Oswego, New York on April 7, 1946 to the late Elmer and Ruth Last. 

She studied very hard to become an LPN after having six children. She worked for many years at Oswego Hospital and as an in home respite nurse. She enjoyed traveling but not too far. She was a loving wife for 63 years. Most importantly she loved her family and spending time with them. 

She was predeceased by three sons, Jonathan McNitt, Patrick McNitt, and Joseph McNitt; three sisters, Vesta Hathaway, Eola Walker and Brenda Coady. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Elwin McNitt; two sons, Matthew McNitt, Adren McNitt; daughter, Laura Demass; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; four sisters, Nancy Goodman, Linda Durgan, Elma Kastler, Vanetta Knoop; brother, William Last; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
