Susan L. Millet, 81, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Susan was born in Plattsburgh, New York, on August 14, 1944, the daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie Millet. She retired from the Cortland Tax Assessor’s Office after many years of dedicated service.
She enjoyed traveling and had a generous spirit, always finding ways to help others. Susan was deeply compassionate and devoted much of her time and energy to causes that made a difference in people’s lives.
Family was the heart of Susan’s life. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who took immense pride in her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her loved ones, sharing laughter, love, and countless cherished memories.
Susan is survived by her beloved children: Faith Buffington (Dave Brown), Rich Ross (Rosina Argese), Tammy Parrotta, and Sheila Wallis (Marty Wallis); her treasured grandchildren: Eddie Buffington, Anthony Parrotta, Alicia Diaz (William Diaz), Martin Wallis, and Tyler Wallis; her adored great-grandchildren: Anthony Diaz and Alonzo Diaz; and her brothers Jack Millet (Nancy) and Tom Millet (Linda), along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers Bob, Dick, and Jerry, and her sisters Betty, Barbara, Rita, Pat, Theresa, Jean, and Sandy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, with services to follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
Susan will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
