Susan Ardeth Smith

Susan Ardeth Smith passed away on November 3, 2026, after a long illness. She was born on February 12, 1947, in Oneida, New York.

Susan will be remembered as a woman who loved music and cherished her family deeply. She enjoyed reading and spending time with those she loved most, and her life was marked by the simple, lasting joys of family, books, and music. Those who knew her will remember the warmth of her love for her family and the happiness she found in being together.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy Miles, and Amy’s significant other, Frank Sobotka; her son, Victor Petit; her grandchildren, Garrett Sobotka and Gabriel Petit; her brother, Reggie Smith; and her sisters, Sandra Smith, Theresa Smith, and Wendy Hamlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Boyer, and by her parents, Lila Smith and Arden Smith.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life on November 15, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the American Legion, 8 Vida Drive, Williamstown, NY 13493.

Susan’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
