Susan Kathleen Stevenson, born on February 11, 1954, left this world on December 13,2025. devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Susan will be remembered for her incredible compassion, her spirited personality, and her unwavering dedication to helping others.

In her professional life, Susan served as a Recreational Therapist at Loretto for many years, where her care and commitment made a lasting impact on the lives of those she encountered. Susan cherished her education, having graduated from North Syracuse High School. She furthered her studies with an Associate's degree in Recreational Therapy from Onondaga Community College, followed by a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from SUNY Oswego, reflecting her lifelong commitment to learning and understanding the world around her.

Beyond her career, Susan was a loving presence in the lives of her family. She adored her grandchildren—Allissa Brutcher, Kassandra Page, and Savannah Page—and took immense joy in the company of her four great-grandchildren. Her daughter, Erin (Andre) Smith, remembers her mother as a true spitfire, always standing up for those in need and showing a depth of compassion that touched everyone she met. Susan’s husband, Charles Stevenson III, describes her as not only a partner but a guiding light, always willing to put her own health on the back burner to assist others.

Susan held a variety of interests and hobbies that brought her joy. She loved taking long walks with her dog each day, finding solace in nature and the companionship of her furry friends. Her talents in knitting, baking, and cooking allowed her to create warmth in her home, and she treasured time spent at their camp, where countless memories were made with family and friends.

In addition to her family and work, Susan was active in her community. She volunteered her time and skills for the American Legion, contributed to the Onondaga County Library system, and offered her support to Frances House. Her spirit of service and commitment to the betterment of others exemplified the essence of who she was.

Susan is survived by her devoted husband, Charles Stevenson III; her daughter, Erin (Andre) Smith; her beloved granddaughters, Allissa Brutcher, Kassandra Page, and Savannah Page; her cherished four great-grandchildren; and her brother, Steven Seleway. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Seleway, and her sister, Laurie Seleway.

The legacy of Susan Kathleen Stevenson will endure through the lives she touched, the love she shared, and the countless acts of kindness she embodied. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
