Thelma R. Armstrong

Thelma R. Armstrong, 81, of Liverpool, New York passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025 at home with her family by her side. Born on October 7, 1943 in Bagio, Phillipines, Thelma was the beloved daughter of Ignacio and Placida Vargas. She graduated from Vallejo High School and then went on to become a licensed Beautician in her home town of Vallejo, California.

Thelma was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and cherished friend. She will be remembered for her dedication to family, generosity and kindness to all her friends and her pets.

She is survived by her loving husband LeRoy, a son, LeRoy, IV, a daughter Joann, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, a brother, Simon and a sister Carol of California. Thelma was predeceased by her parents Ignacio & Placida Vargas, brothers; Ray, Jose & Billy, along with sisters Helen & Joan.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 12-1:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse, with a service at 1pm. In lieu of flower donations may be made to Hospice of CNY in honor of Thelma.

Thelma will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
