Theodore Neville "Ted" Kubacki, 81, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born on August 20, 1944, in Trenton, New Jersey, Ted lived a life marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and a love for the great outdoors.

Ted grew up in Flemington, New Jersey, and graduated from Hunterdon Central High School before continuing his education at Susquehanna University. He was a longtime resident of Clay, New York. Ted built a Long and respected career at Romano Ford & Volkswagen, where he worked for many years.

A proud U.S. Army Veteran, Ted was a decorated infantry officer, serving as a first Lieutenant during the Vietnam War. His bravery and commitment were recognized with both a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star with two Oak Leaf Clusters, honors that reflected his courage and sacrifice.

An avid fisherman, Ted found joy in the tranquility of nature. He treasured trips to Canada with close friends and relished fishing for halibut in Alaska moments that brought him peace and happiness.

Ted was deeply devoted to his family. He is survived by his children; Michelle Villas (Lloyd), Sandra Kubacki, and Theodore Kubacki (Becky). He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren; Nita Villas, Theodore Luhrman, Lazaria Kubacki, Olive Kubacki, Viola Kubacki, Ella Kubacki and Star Kubacki. Additionally he is survived by his siblings, Mary Simmons and Raymond Kubacki, as well as his significant other Marcia Luce.

Ted was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Paula Kubacki, as well as his brother, Paul Kubacki.

Ted’s fierce love and loyalty to his family were defining aspects of his character. His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew him.

May his legacy of strength, devotion, and kindness bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday April 25, 2026 from 11:00am to 1:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home in North Syracuse, New York.
