Thomas A. Blair

February 22, 1929 — June 4, 2025

Waterville, NY

Thomas A. Blair, a long-time resident of Waterville, NY, passed away on June 4, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on February 22, 1929, in North Brookfield, NY, Thomas led a life marked by dedication and service, both in his career and to his country.

Throughout his professional journey, Thomas was a valued manager with Rite Aid, where he traveled extensively to various branches, ensuring the smooth operation of the stores under his care. After an accomplished career, he transitioned to security guard at Menorah Park of CNY, contributing to the safety and security in his community. He spent many years in Syracuse before returning to Waterville, where he would eventually spend his later years.

Thomas served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952, a testament to his commitment to his nation. Those who knew him often described him as a reserved individual, embodying simplicity and humility.

Thomas is survived by several nieces and nephews, all of whom cherished the time spent with him and fondly remember his gentle spirit.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Pauline (Moran) Blair; as well as his four siblings, Shirley, Christine, Beverly, and John.

In keeping with Thomas' wishes, there will be no services. As we reflect on his life, we recognize not only his achievements but also the kindness and simplicity with which he navigated the world. He leaves behind a legacy of quiet strength and dedication, remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
