Thomas Campanello, 80, of North Syracuse, passed away on October 12, 2026 at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on January 28, 1946 to Thomas and Ursula (Roe) Campanello in Syracuse, NY.
Tommy was self employed as a flooring specialist, and his business still lives on through his nephew Justin, to whom he taught everything he knew.
In 2001, Tommy met the love of his life Victoria A Cayea. Tommy and Vicki spent their lives together in North Syracuse, New York.
He loved his family fiercely and spoke of them with endless pride. His daughters and grandkids were his greatest accomplishments and the center of his world. He loved them deeply and without condition. Tommy had a generous heart and would give you the shirt off his back to make sure you had what you needed. He loved his scotch on the rocks with water, could always make you laugh, and was never without a quick comeback. A natural comedian, he brought laughter wherever he went. Above all, Tommy lived by example, showing those around him what unconditional love, generosity, and kindness truly looked like.
If you knew him, you loved him.
Tommy was a member of the Italian American Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the casino, and spending time on the golf course.
Tommy is survived by the love of his life, Vicki, daughters, Kim (Scott) Shepherd, and Trista (Mike) Spencer, sister, Marilyn Renne, brother, John (Julie) Campanello, Step-Sons, Christian (Julie), Chad (Mandy), Adam (Caitlyn), Grandchildren, K.J, Ellie, Finn (Alex), Brooke, John (Abbi), Angelina, C.J, Evan, Audrey, Thatcher, Mack, Ophelia, and great-grandchild, Vinny, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ursula (Roe) Campanello.
Visitation will be held Saturday October 17, 2026, from 1pm to 3pm, with a service at 3, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, North Syracuse, New York.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made out to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in honor of Tommy.
