Thomas “Tom from NY” Fortino, 68, of Central Square, passed away May 08, 2026.
A man who truly put everyone before himself, he dedicated his life to the people he loved most. His wife, children, and grandchildren were his entire world, and there was nothing he wouldn’t do to make sure they felt loved, protected, and cared for.
He had a passion for classic cars and cruising, finding joy in every ride and every memory made along the way. Whether he was behind the wheel or spending time with family, he knew how to enjoy life’s simple moments.
Known for his sense of humor, he could always make people laugh. If anyone ever asked him who he was, he would proudly smile and say, “Tom from New York.” That unforgettable line became a part of who he was — warm, funny, and full of personality.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Fortino; his children, Jason (Amanda) Waack, Robert (Nikki) Waack, Sarah Young, Beth (Ben) Kulesa, Karen (Ryan) Williams, and April (DJ) Fortino; two granddaughters and 10 grandsons; as well as his numerous extended family members and treasured friends.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, selflessness, and strength that will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the love he gave will never fade.
Forever loved. Forever remembered.
