Troy H. Gregory

April 25, 1963 — September 26, 2025

Listen to Obituary

On September 26th, 2025, after a short, but very hard and courageous fight, Troy H. Gregory was called into the open arms of God. Troy was born in Rome, NY, and was a lifelong resident of Syracuse.

Troy was a devoted family man who loved his family more than anything. He was a protector and provider with a heart of gold. A true man of strength and wisdom.

He was self-employed at his own company, Troy Gregory’s Onondaga Chimney and Masonry Services, which he built from the ground up. For over 30 years, he served the community with honesty and integrity that he prided himself on. His company is not only a reflection of his skill and hard work, but also a lasting legacy that will continue to stand tall in his honor.

Troy was a Philadelphia Eagles fan, enjoyed watching football, spending time with family and loved cruising in his convertible named Loretta. He also had a deep love for country music, which was the soundtrack to many of his days.

Troy is survived by his beloved wife, Mary, who has been his lifelong partner for 37 years who stood faithfully by his side through every season of life and was with him until his very last moment. He is also survived by his three daughters, Amanda (Julie), Kristina and Miranda whom he loved deeply and equally. Each of them carries a part of him in their hearts, but Kristina shared a special bond with her father, being so much like him in spirit, strength, and drive. Together, his daughters are proud to carry forward his legacy. He is survived by his granddaughters, Isabella and Everly. Troy is also survived by his son, Jimmie (Chelsea) and two grandchildren Marley and Brody, all of Columbia, TN, his brothers Ray (Tina) Johnny (Michelle) Carl, Randy and Sam plus a special niece Yvonne (Knees) and many more nieces and nephews who he loved very much.

Troy will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his craftsmanship, and his generous spirit. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 1-3pm. Funeral Services will follow at 3pm.
