Valerie J. Holbrook

Valerie J. Holbrook, 83, of Phoenix, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025. Valerie was born in Syracuse, New York on July 8, 1942.

Valerie enjoyed spending time with her family, and reminiscing about her home town. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by parents; daughter, Donna Marie Walters; brothers, Robert, and George; and sisters, Gloria, and Marjorie.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tammy (Robert) Marko, Shelly (Charles) Baum; grandchildren, Joshua (Lindsay) Grosvent, Jay (Lisa) Hollady, Joseph (Curnin) Grosvent, Trista (Brian) Clink, Travis (Katelyn) Baum, Dani Walters, Jenna (Andrew) Compeau; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard, Martin, Ronald, James; sisters, Judith, Kathleen; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and step-children, William Salderfer and Melissa Martin.

Family and friends may call on Monday, August 25th from 4:00pm - 6:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse, where funeral services will be held at 6:00pm.
