Vernon E. Slater, 78, of Liverpool, passed away on Monday with his family by his side.
Vernon served in the US Navy. He owned and operated Vern Slater Roofing and Remodeling.
Vernon is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jennie; four children, Bob (Cathy) Burton, John (Sevil) Slater, Rosa Gale and Dan (Ann) Slater; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Thursday 4-8PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse.
A funeral service will be held Friday 10AM at the funeral home with burial to follow in North Syracuse Cemetery.
