Virginia Noreen Manley Justian

Virginia Noreen Manley Justian, 77, of Liverpool, New York, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026. Born in Syracuse, New York, on October 19, 1949, Virginia was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, aunt, great-aunt, friend, and a cherished part of her community. She made her home in Liverpool for more than 40 years.

Virginia attended Cathedral School and received her GED in 1967. She worked for Royal Insurance for many years before retiring and moving to QBE Insurance where she eventually retired from also. A cancer survivor, Virginia faced life’s challenges with strength, faith, and determination.

Her faith was an important part of who Virginia was. She was deeply religious and devoted many years of her life to serving her church. From childhood, she was a member of the choir and later proudly served as a cantor. She was a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Columbiettes. She also taught religious education classes, sharing her faith and love with generations of children. Virginia had a special love for children and could talk to just about anyone. She never seemed to meet a stranger and had a way of making people feel welcome.

Virginia was also a talented singer and performer. She was proud of her years performing in numerous plays with the Pompey Players, where she was able to share her love of singing and the stage. She loved to dance and sing, and especially treasured being able to share that love with her niece.

A talented cross-stitcher and crafter, Virginia found joy in creating beautiful things with her hands. But above all, Virginia treasured her family and friends. She loved spending time with the people she cared about, sharing stories, laughter, music, and her generous spirit.

Virginia will be deeply missed by her Sister-in-law Mary Elaine Kellish (Ron) and nieces and nephews, Mark C. Cashin (Colleen), Mary E. Nemr (Nicolas), and Michelle C. Napier. Lisa M. Overton, Elaine Hague (Andrew), Ron Kellish II (Marni); her grand-nieces and grand-nephews, N. Nemr, Marrielle N. Nemr, Alec N. Nemr, Ashley A. Napier-Fitzsimmons, Khalil Turner, Isiah A. Turner, Aliyah J. Overton, Jonah Overton, Kimorah Overton, Aniah Overton, Tierney Kellish and Isabella Hague, as well as great-great-nieces and nephews, James Fitzsimmons, Savannah Fitzsimmons, Ashton Fitzsimmons, Bailey Bishop, along with many extended family members and dear friends whose lives she touched.

Virginia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond S. Justian; her parents, John Kenneth Manley and Mary Jane Baker Manley; and her sisters, Barbara M. Manley, Kathleen E. Richardson and her husband, George M. Richardson, and Nancy L. Cashin and her husband, James M. Cashin.

Virginia leaves behind a lifetime of memories filled with faith, music, laughter, creativity, and love. Her voice may now be quiet, but the songs she shared, the faith she lived, and the love she gave to her family and friends will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

 Calling hours will take place at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Monday, September 28, 2026 from 4-7pm.

 Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Pope John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 8290 Soule Road, Liverpool, NY 13039 on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 9:30am.

 Burial will follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, 8668 Oswego Road, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
