Virginia "Ginger" Plowright

Virginia "Ginger" Plowright, 78, of Liverpool, NY, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of John and Betty Legawiec.

Ginger was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a proud graduate of the East Syracuse Minoa Class of 1965. She was especially proud of her career as a nurse. Ginger loved spending time at the casino with her sister, Betsy.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, John and James; and her sister, Barbara.

Ginger is survived by her life partner, Nick Grevelding; children, Nicholas (Kristi) Grevelding III, Debra (John) Waldau and Richard (Cindy) Grevelding; grandchildren, Trisha, Amber, Amanda, Kelsi and Kyli; great grandchildren, Connor, Rowen, Winslow and Chase; sisters, Betsy Brandell and Patty Klipon; and brother, Frederick Legawiec.

In keeping with Ginger's wishes there will be no services. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
