Volodymyr was born on March 26, 1957, in Nova Odesa, Ukraine, into a faithful Christian family, where faith had been passed down from generation to generation for four generations. From early childhood, Volodymyr was taught to love God, people, and music, especially the guitar. It was almost impossible to imagine Volodymyr without a guitar. As he grew older, he began helping his father, a pastor, in ministry. They often traveled to villages for evangelistic outreach, where Volodymyr played the guitar and served people. Music and serving God became an inseparable part of his life.
In the church, Volodymyr served as a deacon and was always ready to help, especially wherever his skilled hands were needed. He lovingly helped brothers and sisters with all kinds of practical needs. He repaired eyeglasses, electrical appliances, and sewing machines. If someone accidentally sat on their glasses and broke them, Volodymyr could restore even severely damaged glasses-soldering the temples, repairing the hinges, and returning them to their owners.
Volodymyr was a man of extraordinary abilities. He worked as an electromechanical engineer at Ukrtelecom, repaired sewing machines, and could fix practically anything. It seemed there was no object or task he could not handle. He always found unusual, creative, and innovative solutions. He loved working with his hands, caring for trees, pruning them, grafting grapevines, and tending to the garden. He built a house with his own hands, planted many trees, and raised two wonderful daughters.
Another beloved part of Volodymyr’s life was fishing. He always looked forward to going fishing and took great pleasure in preparing for each trip. He carefully chose the best fishing gear and equipment, and fishing always inspired and excited him. One of his dreams was to catch the biggest fish in the Southern Buh River near his home. Fishing was even more special because he loved sharing it with the people he loved. He would take his children, nieces and nephews, and his wife with him, creating wonderful memories together along the river.
A special place in Volodymyr’s life was held by his wife, Liubov. Together they shared 45 years of love, friendship, and faithfulness.
They were true friends and life companions. Volodymyr loved his wife deeply and was devoted to her. They did almost everything in life together-with love, mutual care, and respect for one another.
Liubov was always by his side, supporting him and sharing with him all of life’s joys and difficulties. They worked together in the same organization, traveled together on evangelistic trips, and came to the United States together. Their life was a shared journey that they walked side by side.
Until his very last day, Liubov was by Volodymyr’s side, supporting him and never leaving him alone. Their relationship was an example of devotion, faithfulness, and true love.
Today, Liubov looks back with gratitude on the 45 years they shared and thanks God for this precious gift, for a husband who was her beloved, her faithful friend, and her companion throughout her life.
Volodymyr was wise, calm, humble, and dependable. He was respected for his thoughtful actions, wisdom, composure, and ability to calmly face even the most difficult circumstances. But above all, he was loved for his kind heart.
To his family, he was a dear life companion, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved his family and his homeland Ukraine. Those around him felt that they could always count on him.
His life especially reminds us of the words of Christ: “Good and faithful servant! Come and share your master’s happiness.” Matthew 25:21
Volodymyr will forever remain in our memory as he was-kind, wise, humble, dependable, with a guitar in his hands and love in his heart.
He has passed from our sight, but he will never leave our hearts.
Volodymyr will always be loved and remembered by his wife, Liubov Dunduk; daughters, Svitlana Seredenko and Nadiia Dunduk; son-in-law, Sergii Seredenko; grandchildren, Lev, Tymofii, and Matvii Seredenko; brothers, Anatolii Dunduk and Viktor Dunduk; as well as all his relatives, friends, and everyone who was blessed to know him.
The family sincerely thanks the doctors, nurses, caregivers, friends, and everyone who cared for Volodymyr and supported him and his family during the final years and days of his life.
Volodymyr, we will remember you always. Love you always. And one day, we will meet again.
