Wallace T. "Ted" Schmidt, Jr.

Wallace T. "Ted" Schmidt, Jr., 68, passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2024. He was born in Syracuse, NY on December 20, 1955 to the late Wallace Sr. and Marilyn (Hunter) Schmidt and grew up in Minoa, NY. 

He worked for the railroad as a brakeman/conductor and then many years driving truck. He was an avid reader and never missed Jeopardy or doing his daily Sudoku puzzle. He loved golf and cooking. It wasn’t a Schmidt family gathering without him making either Macaroni Salad or Crab Bisque.

He was predeceased by his brothers Eric and David and also his sister Brenda.

He is survived by his daughter, Michele (Dylan); grandchildren, Michael (Kayla), Joseph (Larissa), and Grace; one great-grandchild, Jackson; two brothers, Kevin and Jeffrey; three sisters, Karin (Bill), Kathy (Larry), and Beth; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

As per Ted’s wishes there will be no services. A celebration of life will be arranged at a later time because we know he loved a good family party!
