Walter C. Otis, 89 of North Syracuse, formerly of Liverpool, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday. He was a WWII Navy veteran and member of the American Legion Post# 1832 in Mattydale. Walter retired from GM in 1980.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ida (Krupka); sons, Walter P. and Gary; grandsons, Walter E. and Kenneth; and longtime friend and companion Gloria Phillips.
He is survived by his sister, Geraldine Loftin of Ocala, FL; two daughters in law, Candace and Susan; grandchildren, Mark (Angela) of Liverpool, Christine (William) Kot of Cicero and James (Andrea) of North Syracuse, granddaughter in law, Cynthia; and great grandchildren, Nicole, Michaela, Hunter, Kiera, Kaley and Ryan.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service is planned for Sunday, December 15th from 4-7 at the American Legion in Mattydale.
