William P. Rioux

William P. Rioux, affectionately known as Bill, passed away on June 1, 2026, in his hometown of Syracuse, NY, where he was also born on July 14, 1958. A dedicated maintenance worker, Bill devoted several years to his career in the local area, where he was known for his reliability and commitment.

Bill was a man who cherished the simple pleasures in life. He loved spending time outdoors, immersing himself in nature's beauty, and found joy in listening to classic rock music. Above all, Bill treasured moments shared with his family and friends, valuing those relationships deeply.

He is survived by his beloved children, Nikoahl L. (Jed) Burt and William R. Rioux; his cherished grandchildren, Shyann, Colton, William, and Kylie; and his brothers, Richard (Sue) Rioux and David Rioux. Bill's extended family includes many nieces, nephews, and cousins who remember him fondly. His memory is also honored alongside his siblings, Sharon Wemett and Gerald Rioux, who predeceased him.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at a visitation to be held on June 13, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 705 N Main St, Syracuse, NY 13212. This gathering will be an opportunity to celebrate the life of a man who touched many lives with his kindness and warmth.

William P. Rioux will be remembered as a steadfast presence whose love for his family and passion for life left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those he held dear.
