James P. “Wheels” Wheelden, 50, passed away on Saturday. Jim worked in the auto industry in the Syracuse area for several years. He was an avid sports fan. Jim’s greatest love of his life was his daughter Maddy. He was predeceasd by his mother Marie in 2012.

James is survived by his daughter, Maddy, his father George (Candy) Wheelden, siblings; Kathy (Ron) Maurillo, Michael (Laurie) Wheelden, Maureen (Traci) Wheelden, brother-in-law, John Maurillo, nephews, Ryan, Matthew, Jack Maurillo. He is also survived by his best friend Nate Dickson.

Calling hours will be held at on Friday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with a Remembrance Ceremony to follow.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to his daughter Maddy. A custodial savings account has been set up in Madelyn's name at Key Bank. All contributions of checks must be made payable: "Madelyn Wheelden".
