In Memory Of
Joshua Thomas Hertweck
1986 - 2017

Joshua Thomas Hertweck, 31, of Las Vegas, went home to be with his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, last Saturday.

He was born in Springfield, MO, and raised in Liverpool, NY. After graduating from Faith Heritage School, Joshua attended CCC and SUNY Oswego. He received his bachelor’s degree in childhood education and his master’s degree in literacy education.

Joshua taught at Word of Life Christian Academy in Baldwinsville for four years. He helped to start a drama club, writing and directing several plays. In 2016, he took a third-grade teaching position at Robert Lunt Elementary School in Las Vegas, NV. His students adored him and he gave everything he had to see each of them succeed.

Joshua was a loving son and brother. One of the joys of his life was being his nieces and nephews’ “favorite uncle.” He was a loyal friend and a wonderful teacher. Joshua served his church, helping youth in the Fine Arts program and going on several mission trips. Joshua loved God, writing, music, movies, going to concerts, his mom’s cooking, the Indianapolis Colts, Liverpool Football Club and spending time with his family and friends.

Joshua was predeceased by his father, Thomas. He is survived by his mother, Eunhee; siblings: Lisa (Derek) Henderson and David (Erin) Hertweck; nephews and nieces: Emma, Jared, Abigail, Carter, Lilia, Caraline and Madelaine; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be Sunday, October 15th from 3 until 5PM at Trinity Assembly of God, 4398 Route 31, Clay, NY with a service to follow at 5PM.
