1944 - 2017

William G. Dickinson, 73, of Liverpool, went home to be with the Lord on November 16th, at St Joseph Hospital.
Bill was a Naval Officer at 19 and transitioned to self-employment as a tow truck driver of Bill Dickinson’s Auto Service. Where he served the community, Syracuse Police Dept., and AAA services until he retired in 2005 due to being diagnosed with cancer which he bravely fought for 12 years.
He enjoyed spending time at The Little Gem Diner and Mama Nancy’s to drink coffee and socialize. He was a devoted father and grandfather who shared his love of NASCAR with both his children and grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Fawn Dunlap-Dickinson; his two sons William (Kathy) Dickinson, Craig (Meghan) Dickinson, three daughters Ashley (DonQuelle) Dickinson-Brown, Jennifer Potanas, Debra Dickinson, and several grandchildren & great grandchildren; one brother Stevie Dickinson; three sisters Susan Dickinson-Whalen, Janet Arnold, Marilyn (Tom) Gardner and a host of family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents George and Mary Jane Dickinson and his three brothers Robert, David and Gerald.
Calling hours will take place at New Comer Cremations and Funerals on Wednesday, 10am-11am. Burial will follow at Onondaga Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
