George Yanock, of Brewerton, passed away November 30, 2017. George was born in East Syracuse, New York on January 4, 1936 to Harry and Mary Yanock. He was a retiree of General Motors/ Fisher Body. George enjoyed spending time with his family, including playing horseshoes and corn hole, tending to his yard at his beautiful lake front home and being in the outdoors. George was a Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beverly Young Yanock; and grandson, Brandyn George. He is survived by two Daughters, Annamarie (Timothy) LaFrance, Beth (Dave) Rankin; a son, Mark (Michele) Yanock; two sisters, Betty Hayduke, and Mary (Bob) Maltbe; a brother, Paul (Wanda) Yanock; six granddaughters, Melissa, Jennifer, Sara, Chelsey, Nicole, Christina; three grandsons, Shane, Shawn, Timothy; and several great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family and friends may call on Monday, from 9:00 am- 11:00 am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, or a charity of one's choice.
