Joyce (Theetge) Zabinski, 85, passed from this life on Monday, January 15, 2018. Joyce was born in Camillus on March 15, 1932. She married Richard “Red” Zabinski on April 24, 1954.

Joyce loved her family fiercely and completely; was firm, but kind, and unapologetically true to herself. She was a strong influence on everyone in her family, teaching by example and love and she opened her home graciously. She had a ready smile and words of advice. She made the best homemade pizza, cookies and cakes.

She was predeceased by the love of her life, Red in December 2003; brothers, Leonard and Tyrone Theetge.

She is survived by two Daughters, Kathy (Anne Mancuso) Zabinski and Susan (Michael) Lotito; Son, Michael (Jackie Venner) Zabinski; Four Grandchildren, Brittany (Dave) Buffum, Jeremy (Mallory Reedy) Zabinski, Christopher Zabinski, Dominic Lotito; Three Great Grandchildren, Miles Buffum, Mason Buffum, Evan Zabinski; several nieces and nephews and Sister-In-Law, Patricia Theetge.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 4-7 PM. A funeral mass will be held at St. Margaret’s Church, Mattydale on Thursday at 10 AM. Burial to follow in Onondaga County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.

The family would like to thank all of the nurses and aides at Fahey Rehabilitation Center at Loretto for their wonderful care and kindness.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org or 1-800-272-3900.
