In Memory Of
Charles John "Uncle Charlie" Alfonsetti
1932 - 2018

Charles John Alfonsetti, "Uncle Charlie", passed away Sunday July 15, 2018 at age 86 after a brief stay at the Van Duyn nursing home, and probably, depending on who you ask, too long for the nursing staff.

Uncle Charlie served as an MP and Sergeant First Class in the United States Army. His favorite saying was; "I'm proud to be an American!" Uncle Charlie enjoyed excitement. His kind. If you loved Uncle Charlie, then you knew him. You were safe. However, if you didn't know him, you're it! He was looking for you. Rough, tough and ready to rumble. With an ear to ear smile on his face he loved teasing and stirring up a good argument, with anyone, but no one was an easier mark, and a better victim of Uncle Charlie's humor than his buddy "Ralphy". He was tough. A "bear" with a big heart. We loved him very much "from California" and he will be missed and remembered by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carmela Carliona, father, Antonio Alfonsetti; wife Joan; his son Johnny, and his brothers John, Nick, and Joe Alfonsetti.

He is survived by his sister Julia Paro; several nieces, nephews; and great nieces and nephews; Nicky, Linda, Folly, Gary, Jeannie; and his best friend Ralph Parloto of Cicero, New York,"Ralphy".

Services will be private.
