Stephen Blazek, 72, of N. Syracuse passed away on Wednesday after a long illness.

Born in Syracuse, he was the son of Peter and Margaret Grey Blazek. Before his retirement, he worked for Jacquith Industries. He attended St. Bridget’s Church, enjoyed gardening, going to the Casino, breakfast outings with his lifelong friends, and watching his wife and family bowl. Stephen was a diehard Yankee’s and SU fan but his greatest love was his family, including his cherished Jack a poo, Jesse.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; his son, Jim (Tammy) Blazek; his daughter, Melissa (Robert) Keller; grandson, Julian Hermes; Step-children, Harry D’Agostino, Lisa-Marie McBarron; 4 step grandchildren, Sarah McBarron, Rovelle and Nicholas D’Agostino; 5 step great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Martha Paci Blazek; brother, James Blazek; sister, Judy Fiorini.

Visitation will be held Saturday 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, North Syracuse, with Funeral Services to follow.
