Robert was born on March 24, 1944 in Elmira son of the late Robert and Florence Morey Ackles Lagstrom.
Robert was a graduate of Tully High School, Cobleskill College and Syracuse University Maxwell School with a Masters Degre in social work. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and target shooting. He also loved gardening, especially his flowers and spending time with his family and friends.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, step-father Lars Lagstrom and brothers; Gary and Calvin Lagstrom.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Jean (Britten) Lagstrom, daughters; Holly (William) Ladd, Shannon (Robert) McRae, 3 grandchildren, Robert Ladd, Liam McRae & Delaney McRae.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors.
