Fred Wild Jr. 91, of Syracuse passed away on December 6, 2018. He was an Army Air Force veteran. Prior to retirement, he was a Syracuse Police officer for 38 years followed by 15 years with Syracuse University security.

He was predeceased by his parents, Fred Wild Sr. and Estella (Moore) Wild; brother, Alfred Wild; sister, Helen (Edward) Wells; and son David G. Wild.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Patricia Ann Wild; children, Laurinda (Paul) Amsden, Eric (Julie) Wild, Victoria Wild and Jennifer Wild; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Wild Haven; stepdaughter, Kellie (Fran) Brady and niece Estella (Joe) Traver. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, as well as other extended family.

Calling hours will take place at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse on Wednesday, December 12th from 11am-1pm.

There will be a small private service for family and friends followed by graveside services at the Onondaga County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.
