Services & Gatherings
Service: There will be a Catholic Funeral Mass Monday, April 8th at 10 am, at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, Mattydale. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery at 12 PM. A reception and celebration of Tom’s life will be held at the Central Park Nursing Home at 116 Martin Luther King E. from 2PM to 4PM.
Thomas spent most of his life with his loving mother, Catherine. Later he resided in an Onondaga County ARC group home and at the Central Park Nursing Home.
Thomas was a friendly, fun loving person, and was a joy in the lives of all who knew him. He was always quick with a smile, enjoying travel, board games, bowling, his favorite TV shows, and telling jokes.
Thomas’s employment included housekeeping, assembly, and volunteer work.
He is predeceased by his parents LeRoy and Catherine Hoyt.
He is survived by brothers, Charles and Larry Hoyt; sisters, Mary Docteur and Sally McDonald; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ARC of Onondaga, 600 Wilbur Ave., Syracuse NY 13204.
