1954 - 2019

Deborah A. (Palmer) Allinger, 64, passed away at Crouse Health Hospital on May 6, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Deborah was born in Gloversville on November 11, 1954, the daughter of Harry and Elaine Palmer.

She was raised and educated locally and received her bachelor’s at SUNY Fredonia.

On June 6, 1987, in New Hartford, Debbie was married to Ralph Allinger, Jr., the love of her life who she reunited with in heaven.

For almost 30 years she was employed by BNY Mellon, where she met many of her closest friends, and worked with her husband at the Bouckville Antique Show where they made many lifelong relationships.

Debbie will be remembered for her love of family, baking, music (especially Barbra Streisand), animals, and fond memories of camp at Eagle Bay.

She is survived by her daughter, Jesstina, and her husband, Ryan Drake of Manlius; step-daughter, Amanda and her husband Anthony Bronga of Utica; two cherished grandchildren, Anthony Jr. and Alyss Bronga; two brothers, Alan Palmer and his husband Rome, and Steve Palmer; son, Jay, and his partner Diane; and all of her beloved brothers and sister in laws, Michael and Sylvia Allinger, Christopher and Brigid Allinger, Leona Perreault and her wife Lauren; and nephews and nieces, Jessie-Emma and Sam Parlett, Leila and Matt Dowd, Zachary Perreault, and Stephanie and Stephen Langendorfer as well as her extended family of wonderful friends.

Calling hours will take place Monday, May 13, 2019, from 11:00am until 2:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the 4 South Oncology Unit at Crouse Health or an Animal Rescue of your choice, in Debbie's memory.
