Arthur Cornelius, Jr. 82, of Cicero, passed away on Tuesday unexpectedly. Arthur was born on August 12, 1937 the son of the late Arthur, Sr.and Ruth Cornelius. Arthur was in the Syracuse Bowling Hall of Fame. He was a lifetime member at the Pastime Athletic Club where he was a true Bowling Mentor. Arthur was the first left hander to win the 1967 Post Standard Masters, which he held for nearly 40 years. In February 2017 the Pastime Lanes were named in honor of him. In his free time he enjoyed fishing with his family at Oneida Lake and a trip or two, to all the local casinos. He was predeceased by his wife Patricia.

Arthur is survived by his daughters, Sherry (Frank) McClusky, Karen (Jamie) Decker, 8 grandchildren, Michael (Kristen) McClusky, Mark (Andrea) McClusky, Matthew (Cassie) McClusky, Nicole (Kyle) Jenner, Joshua McClusky (Brittany), Alexis Decker, Aliah Decker, Braydon Decker, 6 great grandchildren, sister, MaryLou Cornelius (Sally), along with many special friends that have meant so much to him through the years.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1-4pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services at 4pm.
