William J. Garrow
1955 - 2021

William J. Garrow, 65, of Syracuse, passed away on Sunday surrounded by his loved ones after a short battle with cancer. He served in the United States Navy in the Meditarranean. After getting out of the Navy, William drove truck for over 40 years. He was an avid NY Yankees, Buffalo Bills and SU sports fan. William enjoyed fishing and hunting.

William was predeceased by his father, Donald F. Garrow and younger brother, Tim C. Garrow.

He is survived by his daughter, Shirley; 3 grandsons, Ethan, Leland and Kyle; mother, Mildred E. Garrow; 3 sisters, Donna (Michael) Germano, Judy (James) Bryant and Joann (Robert) Strapach; brother, Joseph (Sue) Garrow; many nieces and nephews and 2 special friends, Charles Steinbrecher and Diane Benjamin.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 19th 12pm-2pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals with a service and military honors to follow.

Consider donations in memory of William to the Wounded Warrior Foundation or to Hospice of CNY.

Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
