In Memory Of
Joseph L. "Joey" Manzi
1996 - 2022
Joseph was born in Syracuse, NY on August 13, 1996 to Richard and Cynthia Manzi.
Joey was a kind and caring soul. He was your champion, always in your corner, whenever you needed him. He was known for his enormous heart and listening ears. His loyalty was showcased through his willingness to help others. His family and friends will remember him as being intelligent, funny, generous, and a good listener, who wasn’t afraid to take on a good debate while remaining open minded and respectful. Behind his infectious smile was a young man passionate about personal freedoms and politics. Some of his greatest pleasures were riding BMX bikes with his friends, lovingly teasing his nephew Kayden, fishing and playing RuneScape.
Joey was a loving son and brother and will be missed immensely. He will also be missed by his cat, Thea. She will miss his rambunctious tackles and sweet pets. With God’s grace, Joey shall pass into heaven, but will live in our hearts for eternity.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Don and Jan Ward; and paternal grandparents, Pat and Chris Manzi.
He is survived by his brother, Anthony Manzi (Ashley); his sisters, Christa Donofrio, Nicole Manzi (Brandon), Destiny Nolan; four nephews, Mark, Jonathon, Dominic, Kayden; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his cat, Thea.
Calling hours will take place on Saturday, February 5th from 2-4PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals.
