Daniel P. Maher, 75, of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022. Daniel was born in Syracuse on March 20, 1946 son of late William and Lucille Maher. He graduated from St. Mary's school for the deaf in Buffalo, NY. Daniel worked at Micro Glass Inc. and Lamson Corp. in East Syracuse for many years as a welder.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia Maher, daughter Pamela Maher, two grandchildren, Brianna Mabee and Ashleen Mabee. 3 sisters, Pixie Keller, Linda (Joe) Mandala, & Diana (Gerry) Johnson. Sister and brother in-law, Kathy & Vern Venette, Son-in-law to be Alexander Solazzo and his two children, Alaina and Vincenzo, along with several nieces & nephews.

He was one of the Founders of Syracuse Deaf Club and was a life-long member of many deaf club/organizations. He loved golfing and bowling. He was also a hardcore Syracuse University basketball and Boston Red Sox baseball fan.

A memorial Mass will be held on Monday, January 10th at 10AM at St. Patrick's Church, 216 N. Lowell Ave., Syracuse.
